Free Museum Passes for Delaware Library Card Holders
If you have a Delaware library card, you can also use your card to visit a Delaware museum.
Delaware residents who have a library card to access their local libraries also have the ability to reserve free museum passes.
With only a valid library card, it’s easy to visit Delaware’s list of museums and select the one that you or your family want to visit. From there, you need to print your museum pass or passes (for groups) and be ready to go.
Reserving Passes
To reserve a museum pass, visit the location’s website or browse through the list of Delaware museums that are open to the public. Each museum listing has a printer icon posted beside the title text.
Choose the day you’d like to visit the museum, then review your reservation to make sure that your chosen date reflects correctly.
Confirm your reservation and print your museum pass to bring with you during your visit.
Even if you reserve a museum pass on the same day you plan to visit the location, your printable pass will generate quickly so that there’s no need to wait.
Special Considerations
Museum pass reservations cannot be canceled, so to avoid confusion, please make sure that you’ve adequately planned your visit before confirming the reservation. While the reservations are free, reserving a pass you might not use can limit another person’s access to a pass.
One museum pass can be reserved per library card at a time. In a 60-day period, a library cardholder can reserve up to 4 passes.
In addition, Delaware Library cardholders need to be at least 18 years of age to reserve museum passes.
Be sure to double-check with the museum you plan to visit so that you’re reserving a visiting time that aligns with the location’s hours of operation.
