New Castle Libraries offer a abundant array of online services for patrons. Please read more to discover all of the services available online for patrons.

Apply for your Library Card online.  If you don't already have a card, this is a great way to access our online offerings. 
Ask us a question.  Staff are still available to answer questions about books, your account, or anything else. 


Our newest database, creativebug, is an award winning resource for crafters, DIY, and makers. The site offers 1,000+ art and craft video classes led by expert instructors and crafting enthusiasts. All free with your New Castle County Library Card.

Ancestry.com - Online resources for genealogical research. Only accessible in a New Castle County Library.

Teen Book Cloud from Tumble Books  includes graphic novels, enhanced novels, eBooks, classic literature, National Geographic videos, educator resources, and audio books for students in grade 7-12.

Ebooks and eaudio with streaming video as well.  Find your current best sellers here. 
Our online collection of magazines.  Over 60 popular titles to choose from, including back issues. Always available in full color just like the magazine.

Transparent Language Online can be accessed from any device with internet access.

Resources to assist your search for family records. Includes census, birth, marriage, death, church, military, immigration and other records.

Homework Help (via UDLib/SEARCH)

The UDLib/SEARCH program provides home access to online magazines, newspapers, and encyclopedias to Delaware’s K-12 students, parents, and teachers (including homeschooled students). Please contact your local school or public librarian for more information.
