The Wilmington Library is being honored as one of the best libraries in America.

There are many great resources available at the Dover Public Library. There are resources such as genealogy resources, links to Overdrive, Kanopy and more. Read more for further information about each resource. 

After over four years of planning, and approvals from DelDOT and the City of Lewes, a collaborative effort between the Lewes Public Library, Lewes in Bloom’s committee Art in Bloom, Lewes Parks & Recreation Commission and Schell Brothers is poised to start construction the week of June 5, 2023.

As the years have passed, the Harrington Public Library has been overlooked in terms of upgrades and renovations that would bring it to the level most public libraries sit at throughout the state.

A library card grants patrons more than just access to printed books.

Delaware residents who have a library card to access their local libraries also have the ability to reserve free museum passes.

What is an Educator Card?
A special library card offered by Delaware Libraries for educators who wish to supplement their curriculum with expanded access to public library resources for children and teens.

Kanopy is now available to Delaware Libraries’ patrons!

LAUREL, Del. Congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Del.) joined Dr. Annie Norman, Delaware State Librarian, community partners, and local elected officials at the Laurel Library in Laurel, DE to announce $275,000 in Community Project Funding for Delaware Libraries. 

There is evidence, in the form of a hand written receipt for dues, that the earliest Wilmington Library was first incorporated in 1754.
